HFP Balancing
In my work I am often called to assist horses who are exhibiting unwanted behaviours.
As soon as I hear 'the story' I know where the animal is off balance and feeling discomfort or pain. The relief through some of these very simple techniques is immediate and profound.
Please try them for yourself and you can easily make amendments to assist all beings, not just horses.
I've tried to make them easily understood but if you have questions feel free to email me for more in depth details.
You cannot do it 'wrong'....God won't let you.
ROOT / BASE
Kicking, bolting, rearing, fear biting, reluctance to move forward. Unsolicited attacks on other horses, children or dogs.
The horse may often present its rear end to you and you might read this as an attempt to kick or as the horse simply being pushy. In reality the horse is asking you to help it ground that area.
Gentle slow rubbing in a circular motion at the top of the tail will mimic the mare’s method of grounding and reconnecting the foal to the earth. Run your hands down the legs, stopping at each joint.
Place your hand inside the flank (large vein location).
SACRAL / GONAD
Excessive ‘marishness’ or ‘studiness’. Intense heat cycles. Acute sensitivity. Bucking. Colic
The horse will bite its barrel and flank. May also present as violent rolling.
Hold your hand above the hip and / or along the connections from barrel to flank.
Most often connected to Solar Plexus so combine the work.
SOLAR PLEXUS
Colic. Diarrhea. Constipation. Too much energy. Lethargic. Pushy / weak.
Rub back and forth along the spine line gently or slightly off the body and be sure to move the energy towards the rear and off the body when finishing.
Gently rub the belly in BIG circular motions.
Be sure to make feed changes slowly when caring for horses. Even the slightest change can create an imbalance.
HEART
Inability to connect with other horses or humans. General lethargy. Acute sadness. Striker.
Dislike of wearing a saddle. Cinchiness. Sensitive wither. Trips and stumbles.
When a saddle is placed on a horse with a blocked heart chakra (which generally occurs at weaning time) the weight and constriction adds to the already existing pain in this area. Once the energy is released the horse is much more comfortable.
You can work on this area as the mare by rubbing the withers gently in a circular motion. You can also place your hand at the girth and / or between the front legs on the chest. Breathe deeply.
Run your hands down the front legs stopping at each joint. This helps open the entry / exit points and allows the horse to ground and balance. Not everyone is able to assist the heart and you may need to have someone else do this for you. If your own heart is restricted through trauma or experience you may have difficulties however do try!! because many horses are here to open yours!!
THROAT
Uncommunicative.
The mare would initiate the ‘pump’ which you can simulate by raising and lowering the head as well as holding one hand under the jaw at the throat and the other at the top of the neck.
BROW
Light sensitivity. Head shy. Ear shy. May exhibit clumsiness and have accidents pertaining to head injuries.
Place your palm on the flat frontal bone above the eyes.
CROWN
Head shy. Head shy. Head shy. Did I say Head Shy?
The horse will exhibit a very aggressive attitude toward anything coming near its head by either avoiding or biting. Often these are the horses labeled vicious.
Most often these horses have had a sharp hit of energy to the poll through either halter pulling (when teaching to tie) or through the use of a bridle with a bit sitting too high in the mouth or simply a too tight bridle or halter. The tiny bones in the crown / poll are often out of alignment. Run energy by placing your hands on the poll and face or poll and under the jaw. This helps to open the ‘sutures’ and allows the built up energy to leave the area. The bones will seek out their natural alignment. You need not adjust them…they will self adjust!!
BRACIAL MAJOR
This is THE KEY to all relationships!! and either unknown or overlooked by most practitioners.
I call it the Soul Connecter.
Horses will become softer, gentler and much more connected to you through touch in this area. Some horses initially can only bear gentle touch with the back of your hand in a simple short stroke. This is the spot to work with FIRST in the as yet untouched horse. In that case you would stroke and walk away for a time.
The emotion which can arise when this area is opened in a traumatized horse is quite palpable and profound.
